Tourisme et culture

La plage de Waikiki, digne d’une carte postale, est à quelques pas de vos cours seulement. Faites une randonnée sur les sommets volcaniques de Diamond Head Crater et n’oubliez pas de prendre une photo de la superbe vue sur l'île. Partez explorer l’intérieur de la jungle le long de sentier menant aux chutes de Manoa, qui dégringolent sur 45 mètres, entre les bambous. Mettez vos pas dans ceux de la famille royale qui a habité l'île au palais d'Iolani, ancien siège de la monarchie hawaïenne.

Shopping

Une après-midi ne suffira pas pour découvrir toutes les boutiques de l’Ala Moana Center, l’un des plus grands centres commerciaux extérieurs d’Amérique. Les petites boutiques à la mode et les magasins proposant des spécialités locales bordent également la plage de Waikiki. Vous souhaitez vous réfugier à l’abri du soleil ? C’est possible au Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, un grand centre commercial couvert.

Sports et activités d’extérieur

Initiez-vous au surf sur les vagues mythiques de la plage de Waikiki, faites de la plongée avec masque et tuba ou bouteilles dans les récifs de la baie d’Honauma puis nagez avec les dauphins curieux au Sea Life Park avant d’aller repérer des animaux sauvages dans la forêt tropicale hawaïenne. Confortablement allongé sur votre transat, vous pourrez admirer les meilleurs surfeurs s’affronter lors des compétitions annuelles sur la rive nord de l’île.

Excursions

Honolulu se situe sur l’île d’Oahu, l’une des huit grandes îles composant l’archipel d’Hawaï. Les excursions organisées par EF vous permettront de découvrir les îles environnantes de Maui, Kauai, Lanai, Molokai et la Grande île, avec au programme des volcans fumants, la jungle et des plages immaculées préservées du tourisme de masse.

Loisirs et vie nocturne

Une visite à Hawaï ne serait pas complète sans au minimum un luau, célébration traditionnelle. Goûtez à un cochon grillé selon la méthode Kalua tout en admirant les pas ondulants des danseurs de hula. Honolulu est l’épicentre de la vie nocturne hawaïenne. Les quartiers du centre-ville et de Chinatown regorgent de petits bars peu connus où les DJ et groupes locaux vous enchanteront. Pour les clubs et la danse, direction Kuhio Avenue à Waikiki.
